Orchard Road Food: Sip, Savour and Paint at Arteastiq

Tea Time Gets an Artsy Makeover in Orchard

Tea, treats and a blank canvas - Arteastiq at Mandarin Gallery is not your average Orchard café stop.

Located at 333A Orchard Road, #04-14/15, this stylish lifestyle concept combines the Arteastiq Tea Lounge with its neighbouring Art Jam Studio. One side serves artistic afternoon tea sets, brunch plates and an extensive tea collection; the other invites you to pick up a paintbrush and discover whether your hidden talent is impressionism - or accidental abstract art.

Arteastiq first opened in 2010, with its name blending “art” and “tea.” Its Mandarin Gallery outlet remains the brand’s signature city-centre hideaway, offering a surprisingly calm break from the shopping crowds below. The tea lounge is at #04-14, while the art jamming studio occupies #04-15. Both are currently listed as opening daily from 11am to 10pm.

First Impressions: Pretty, Polished and Made for Lingering

Stylish interior of Arteastiq Mandarin Gallery, an Orchard Road tea lounge and restaurant
Warm lighting, elegant details and cosy corners make Arteastiq a stylish escape from the Orchard Road crowds.

Arteastiq’s biggest strength becomes obvious before your food arrives.

The setting feels part European salon, part modern art lounge, with dramatic furnishings, greenery and photogenic corners made for long conversations. Diners regularly mention the comfortable atmosphere, stylish décor and calm background music as key reasons for visiting.

A June 2026 Google-sourced review praised the efficient service, detailed presentation and relaxed jazz soundtrack, noting that the music remained soft enough for guests to chat comfortably. Other late-2025 reviews described the restaurant as cosy, welcoming and pleasantly removed from the Orchard Road rush.

This is the sort of place where a quick cup of tea can quietly become a two-hour catch-up - and nobody complains until the bill reminds you that you are still on Orchard Road.

Afternoon Teasery: Where Presentation Takes Centre Stage

Tea at Arteastiq arrives with plenty of personality - and enough presentation drama for the camera.

Afternoon tea is Arteastiq’s headline act, and the current Mandarin Gallery high-tea menu offers several levels of indulgence.

The Luscious Seafood Afternoon Teasery costs S$128++ for two, or S$138++ with an additional foie gras pâté course. It includes seafood starters such as tuna crudo, salmon cake buns, scallop ceviche, prawns and oysters, followed by baked Boston lobster tail and a choice between sweets or savouries.

The Paradise Afternoon Teasery is priced at S$88++ for two or S$59++ for one. Its selection includes an oyster starter, truffle croque monsieur, salmon cake buns, mezzi paccheri, baby squid, macarons and meringue gelato.

For something lighter, both the Nibbles by the Shore and Journey Through Singapore sets cost S$68++ for two or S$38++ for one. The local-inspired Journey set plays with familiar flavours through nasi lemak bites, spicy otah sandwiches, satay chicken, laksa lobster meat and ondeh-ondeh mochi balls. Each afternoon tea set includes a non-alcoholic drink and is available daily from 1pm to 5pm.

Recent feedback has been especially positive about the seafood set. A January 2026 reviewer praised the oysters, scallops, baked mussels, salmon cake rolls, soursop sorbet and iced lychee tea, while a December 2025 Tripadvisor diner enjoyed the S$138 set’s variety and professional, unobtrusive service.

In other words, come hungry. These are not three lonely sandwiches pretending to be lunch.

Beyond High Tea: Brunch, Pasta and Proper Mains

Arteastiq is not only for tiny cakes and decorative teapots. Its official food menu covers all-day brunch, pasta, seafood and meat dishes.

Current brunch choices include Atlantic Coast Blue Crab Cakes at S$30++, a Farmer’s Breakfast at S$27++, Smoked Salmon English Muffin at S$26++ and the gloriously named Truffle Egg Croque Monsieur at S$27++.

Recent diners have also highlighted the lobster spaghetti, Boston Love Boat cioppino, wild cod with truffle mushroom quinoa, burrata salad and sirloin steak. The iced lychee tea remains one of the most frequently praised drinks, although some diners prefer the pomelo tea for a brighter, fruitier finish.

What Recent Reviews Really Say

The broad review picture is positive, particularly for Arteastiq’s ambience, teas and high-tea presentation. At the time of research, Wanderlog displayed a Google rating of 4.7 out of 5 from more than 4,800 reviews, although live ratings naturally change over time.

Still, not every experience has been painted in rosy watercolours.

Some late-2025 diners found certain pasta and salad dishes merely average, while one reviewer liked the lobster pasta and sweet potato fries but felt service was almost absent. Another thought the seafood pot pie lacked flavour. A January 2026 review reported a missed order and an unsatisfactory response from staff. Tripadvisor feedback from September 2025 similarly praised the food and interior but criticised the service.

The fairest conclusion? Arteastiq appears strongest when you visit for the full experience: beautiful surroundings, distinctive teas, artistic presentation and an unhurried catch-up. Food and service can be inconsistent, and the premium pricing will feel easier to justify when ambience matters as much as what is on the plate.

Paint, Sip and Pretend You Planned That Brushstroke

The adjoining Arteastiq Art Jam Studio adds the feature that separates this place from other Orchard Road Restaurants.

Sessions provide access to acrylic colours, painting tools and a complimentary beverage while guests create their own canvas. No artistic experience is required, which is excellent news for those of us whose drawing skills peaked with stick figures. Current packages and session availability should be checked directly before visiting.

It works particularly well for dates, birthdays, small gatherings or anyone looking for an activity that involves more than taking another group photo beside a shopping-mall fountain.

Orchard Foodies Take

Arteastiq is not necessarily where we would go for the cheapest brunch or the fastest meal.

It is where we would go when we want tea served with theatre, food plated like artwork and a dining room that encourages everyone to slow down. The afternoon tea sets are the clearest expression of the concept, with the Journey Through Singapore set offering the most playful local twist and the Luscious Seafood set bringing the full special-occasion drama.

Book ahead for weekends, approach the à la carte menu selectively, and order the iced lychee tea at least once.

Afterwards, keep the sweet mood going with vegan ice cream from Kind Kones Paragon - because creative energy clearly requires dessert.

Stay steeped in creativity till next time,
The Greedy Gang @ Orchard Foodies
